«PLANTATION # 3 – MEMORIES» is the third performance work of experi_theater in a series of artistic investigation into the history and practice of the plantation. Our ongoing non-white artistic practice and its critical focus on the colonial reality has led us into this continuous experimental work.
«PLANTATION #3 – MEMORIES» addresses the question of how places, landscapes, remains and objects evoke memories, both in the past and in the present.
From October 3, 2025 – January, 4, 2025 «PLANTATION #3 – MEMORIES» took place as an installation in the current exhibition in Helmhaus.
Memories of – we have said what we want to say. What we keep saying, we’ve already said. We stand with what we are saying. Memories – about the connections that keep the words that we have said. Connecting with what we have said. We continue to say what we said. We said a lot.
We have been in the space. With our text and sound archives. With traces from the performance work PLANTATION. We will share the space with works of la_cápsula. De-PLANTING & PLANTING*. Again and again...
